It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Mrs. Diane Smith, who left us peacefully on March 16, 2026, at the Magog Hospital, at the age of 80. Beloved wife of Mr. Eric Smith, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Eric, as well as her sons David (Lise) and Jeffrey (Brenda) as well as her grandchildren Alexandra (Nick), Samuel (Sophia), Benjamin and Francesca (Arthur). She was predeceased by her brother Ted Brydges. She will fondly be remembered by her brother-in-law Lindsay (late Mavis), nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Family and friends will gather at the Cass Funeral Home, 545, Dufferin, Stanstead, QC, J0B 3E0, on Saturday April 4th, 2026, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Interment to be held at a later date.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the compassionate staff of the Palliative Care Unit and the Dialysis Unit of the Magog hospital for the exceptional care provided.
In lieu of flowers, donations to “L’envolée, Volunteer staff of the Palliative Care Unit, 50 St-Patrice Est, Magog, QC, J1X 3X3, would be appreciated by the family.

Learning this very sad news , was such a shock . My dear friend we spoke about a month ago .you wanted to come for a crafting weekend, like every year. We will all miss you , you brought so much joy when you were with us girls , just a happy , caring , loving mother sister , friend and most of all a greats mother to your little loved ones.
Your unique talent for the arts , expressing all the beautiful créations you made. .
