Winston Fraser (1944-2026)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, Winston Fraseron Sunday, August 30th, 2026 - beloved husband of his late wife, Becky, and devoted father of Andrea (Andreas), Charles (Dyane), Elaine (Greg) and Elizabeth (Ian), proud grandfather aka 'Bubba' to Jacob, Kira Marie, Mattias, Kennedy, Cameron, Micayla, Caleb, Alice & George, cherished brother to his 11 siblings, caring uncle and valued friend. He was a generous, intelligent, talented, humble man whose gentle spirit will be deeply missed.
Winston enjoyed a long and successful career with IBM as a computer programmer and then later as an independent consultant. His creativity and talents extended well beyond his career. He was deeply involved in his church, where he loved creating skits and bringing people together through humour and fellowship.
Winston was an avid and talented professional photographer from a young age; many of his photographs appearing in a wide variety of publications- and in later years, his own anthologies. In retirement, he embraced his passion for writing and published a plethora of books, many documenting family history. For over ten years, he lived with Parkinson’s disease, facing its challenges with courage and dignity. Through it all, he remained the man we all loved and cherished.
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the Montreal Neuro team, whose exceptional care brought comfort and dignity to him and to our family during his final weeks when we were losing our Dad to the disease. Their dedication and kindness will never be forgotten.
Our dad's legacy lives on in his family, his writing, his photographs, his faith community, and the many people whose lives he touched. He will be deeply loved, dearly missed, and never forgotten.
Family and friends are warmly invited to gather with us on Saturday, September 5th as we celebrate his life and share in the many wonderful memories he leaves behind.
